Paul Walker, FCPA, FCGA
Paul joined EPR in 1994, obtained his CGA designation in 1997 and has been a partner since 2000. He is a member of the CPABC Investigation Committee and is Vice-Chair of that committee’s Panel B. In his practice, Paul covers small-to-medium-sized businesses and personal and corporate taxation.
Paul was born and raised in Ontario, and in his spare time enjoys boating, ATV trail riding, and snowmobiling with his family.

Jeffrey Cawker, CPA, CGA
Jeffrey (Jeff) joined EPR in 2005. He provides specialized tax and advisory services to not-for-profit organizations, estates, and corporations. A graduate of Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Jeff attained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He went on to obtain his CGA accounting designation in 2012. Jeff is a firm believer in providing exceptional customer service and building strong working relationships with all of his clients.
Outside the office, Jeff is very involved in his local community. He has served on numerous not-for-profit boards, including Ridge Meadows Education Foundation, Golden Ears Winter Club and the Ridge Meadows Hospice Society. He is currently Budget Control Officer for the Maple Ridge 2020 BC Summer Games Society. He is an avid curler and golfer and enjoys spending time with family.
John Thomson, CPA, CGA
John has been with the firm since 2007, obtaining his CGA designation in 2012. He primarily works with small-to-medium-sized businesses, offering specialized accounting and taxation services including the preparation of personal income taxes, estates, and trusts. His focus is on providing professional, quality service to help his clients succeed in their business ventures. John is an active member within his community, including serving as Treasurer for the Chamber of Commerce Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows, the Salvation Army Community Advisory Council, and the Maple Ridge 2020 BC Summer Games Society.
Outside the office, John enjoys spending time with his young family, snowboarding and golfing.
Partner Emeritus
Grant Gilmour, B.Sc. Hons, MBA, CPA Canada, CA, CPA USA
Grant has been in the CA business since 1988, starting his own practice in 1994. He has a vast knowledge of tax planning, international tax issues and Scientific Research and Development tax credits, and is a graduate of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course. In 2012, Grant received the CA Community Service Award and the Scout Leader Medal.
He is a strong believer in community involvement and is on a variety of local committees. He is the past president of the Rotary Club of Langley Sunrise and is an active member. In his spare time, Grant likes to be a scout leader, spending time with his four children and wife. Grant also loves to learn!

Dawn Loeffler, BA Hons, CPA Canada, CA, CPA USA
Dawn has over 18 years of experience in public practice. Her focus is on preparing corporate financial statements and tax returns for corporate groups and preparing SR&ED claims.
Dawn enjoys working with our larger corporate groups and helping to facilitate their continued growth.
Angela Hardbattle, Dipl. T Hons, CPA, CA
Angela has been a CPA, CA since 2009. She has over 12 years of expertise in preparing financial statements and corporate tax returns for private companies. She is part of our International Tax team and ensures our non-resident clients are compliant with Canadian taxes.
Angela is an avid runner and has completed several half marathons. When Angela is not at work or running, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
Dave Sran, BBA Hons, CPA, CGA
Dave has over 15 years of experience in public practice and prepares financial statements and tax returns for our corporate clients. He obtained his Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation from CGA Canada in 2011. Dave enjoys helping small businesses grow and achieve their goals.
When Dave is not working, he enjoys playing sports and spending time with his family and friends.
Operations & Human Resources
Sandra Parkinson, Manager of Operations
Sandra joined EPR in February 2022 as the firm’s Manager of Operations. With over 20 years of experience in administration and operations, she brings a dynamic element and perspective when providing guidance and support to our team.
Based in our Maple Ridge office, Sandra oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm in the areas of administration, finance, human resources, and technology. She is a key part of our management team, striving to improve our organizational processes, and working to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
When not in the office, Sandra enjoys getting outdoors camping and hiking the many beautiful spots in and around the Lower Mainland, as well as travelling, and working out at the gym.
Marketing
Salvatore Lavorata, BBA, Marketing Manager
Salvatore (Sal) joined EPR in October 2020 as the firm’s first dedicated Marketing Manager. He possesses over 10 years of marketing and business development experience in both the public and private sectors. Sal is responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s strategic marketing and business development initiatives while ensuring they align with the firm’s overall strategic objectives.
A graduate of Capilano University, Sal obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with an advanced concentration in Marketing in 2010.
Outside the office, Sal enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children and travelling.
